Labofta at the Forefront of Ophthalmology: Highlights from the XVIII Regional Ophthalmology Congress in Arequipa

From August 28 to 31, Labofta proudly participated in the XVIII Regional Ophthalmology Congress, held in the beautiful city of Arequipa. This prestigious event brought together leading professionals in the field of ophthalmology from across the region, and Labofta had the honor of representing our renowned brands.

Our presence at the congress was marked by a series of activities, including a highly anticipated symposium on the launch of Elar-B, an innovative solution for the comprehensive management of ocular allergies. The symposium, led by the esteemed Dr. Angela María Fernández, along with other experts in the field, provided valuable insights into the latest therapeutic advancements in the treatment of ocular allergies. This session was one of the event’s highlights, sparking thoughtful discussions among attendees about the future of allergy management in ophthalmology.

In addition to the symposium, Labofta showcased a range of cutting-edge ophthalmic equipment, underscoring our commitment to bringing the latest technologies to the Peruvian market. The exhibited equipment included:

• NORLASE PHOTOCOAGULATOR LASER – ECHO: The first portable pattern photocoagulator laser on the market, without a fiber optic cable. It features subthreshold technology for a wider range of available procedures.
• NORLASE PHOTOCOAGULATOR LASER – LION: A fully integrated green laser and indirect ophthalmoscope (LIO). Ideal for ROP procedures.
• MOPTIM PORTABLE REFRACTOMETER: A system that offers precise measurements essential for efficient visual examinations. It includes keratometry and cataract mode.

Throughout the congress, we enjoyed dynamic interactions with attending doctors, who provided positive feedback on our products and services.
